The Crystal Mountain Snow-Maker

Resort lore claims that during the exceptionally dry winter of 1998, an eccentric local groomer hooked up an experimental turbine engine to the snowmaking system and accidentally generated a localized blizzard so powerful it buried the resort lodge up to the second-story windows. Skiers had to dig their way out through the balcony doors, swearing it was the best powder day in Northern Michigan history.
