A winter tall tale · as told in Roscommon

The chapel in the pines

Deep in Hartwick Pines State Park stands a small log chapel among the old-growth trees. An anonymous donor paid for it in 1952, and two Roscommon craftsmen, Harold Ogren and John Cederberg, built it. In a forest famous for its logging history, it is the quietest room in the county, especially in snow.
